Staying safe on GroundHive

Job scams are everywhere online. Here's what we do to keep them off GroundHive, and how you can spot one anywhere.

How we keep fake jobs out

  • Companies are checked before they can post a single job.
  • Jobs are reviewed. When a company that signed up here posts or changes a job, our team looks at it before drivers see it.
  • Drivers are real people. Everyone confirms a cell phone number with a texted code.
  • Applications are checked. Our team looks at every driver's answers before a company can contact them.
  • Automated sign-ups are blocked before they get in.
  • Rule-breakers are removed, along with their jobs.

How to spot a job scam

A real trucking company will never ask you to:

  • Pay for a job, an application or training before you're hired.
  • Buy gift cards, equipment or a "starter kit".
  • Send money back from a check they mailed you.
  • Give your bank details or Social Security number before a real job offer.

Be careful with pay that's far above every other job, anyone rushing you to decide today, or a "company" you can't find a phone number or address for. When in doubt, call the company's main number yourself.

See something wrong?
